Why Some People Experience Peace In Dangerous Fearful Situations?
Adrenaline junkies all over the world are adrenaline junkies only because there is an underlying peace or joy in the dangerous activities that they do, which of course is that they experience peace in dangerous fearful situations. Part of going through a spiritual path is that the Guru also explains the need to be Nirbau(without fear) or Nirvair(without enmity). I have already mentioned in one of my previous blog posts, that how pick up artists found inner peace or happiness by consistently confronting their fear of approaching women. They did the activity(approaching women) for a couple of years and reached a state of inner peace or the state of zero ego.rnrnNow let’s get to the point, the reason I am writing this post, is because I wanted to share a case of an adrenaline junkie BASE-jumper known as Jeb Corliss. If you have heard of him, great, if you have not then check this video below:rnrnrnrnClearly, by watching the video only, one starts to feel an adrenaline rush within. The video has about 31 million views and was shot in Walenstadt Switzerland. The dude is a complete badass.rnrnThis dude has done over 10’s of thousands of BASE jumps(or probably more) in his lifetime, and he doesn’t look like who wants to stop in the near future. When asked, that why he does what he does? Why he keeps on performing such dangerous death-defying stunts? He simply answers, that he gets immense joy when he jumps off the cliff, and he doesn’t get time to live in the mind, but totally lives in the moment, when he’s flying.rnrnHere’s a video below on his opinion on fear:rnrnrnrnAt around 1 min 10 seconds, he clearly says, in the moment when you already jumped off the cliff, the yesterday does not matter, the tomorrow does not matter, what matters is right NOW, which is exactly what every real spiritual master teaches, that don’t live in the past or the future, but right now, in the present moment.rn
